Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Hotel but Better Staff Needed There were many options for my hotel stay for my birthday weekend, but I chose this hotel due to reviews online, and the accommodations. The hotel seem reasonably price, and I thought it would be a nice get- away, but sadly I was wrong. I am a priority club member that paid partially with points and called a week beforehand to make sure that we receive the room that we booked online, and the pet fee for our dogs. We were told it was a flat fee of $50.00 for both pets per stay and $25.00 would be held for incidentals. It took an hour to drive to the hotel and before check-in we decided to get something to eat first and ask for recommendations. It had been years since we had been in Atlanta and did not know the lay of the land. The hotel is located in downtown East Point and we were told by front desk staff to GPS restaurants which we knew we could do, but thought there would be more knowledge about the area and where to eat. After finding an I-hop not even ten minutes away from the hotel we came back to the hotel where there was no recognition as we stood at the front desk or as priority club member ,which is basic IHG brand standard. I was just told to sign and just given my keys. First impressions do matter and on my birthday dealing with an indifferent front desk staff was not in my expectations. Staying for two days was very unpleasant in which calling the front desk for basic amenities, the phone just rang or had to call several times to receive one item. The hotel informed me on our last morning of our stay that we had two dogs so would be charged $50.00 PER NIGHT and PER DOG which I clearly asked a week before. Only by calling IHG did they waive the fee but my card was still charged and after arguing with front desk staff on my last day about my case with IHG then the money was refunded. I would never stay in this hotel again due to the rudeness of staff. Hospitality is definitely lacking in this hotel. October 27, 2014

If we had known beforehand we would have booked a longer stay. The decor was fresh and modern but I suspect acceptable to a wide age range. The staff were confident and courteous. October 22, 2014

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt welcomed as soon as I parked on the property. I even encountered an officer that was in charge of protecting the property. Though I didn't need the shuttle, the driver was sure to check with me just in case I was in need. Even all the guests seemed to be at peace as everyone seemed rested and had a smile on their faces. No early breakfast if your flying out early. Also, watch the prices in the bar. Better to ask first than choke on the liquor prices. October 20, 2014
