Hotel Indigo El Paso Downtown
Hotel Indigo El Paso Downtown
At Hotel Indigo® El Paso, mid-century architecture meets contemporary design in the middle of a bustling West Texas metropolis formed on a lively blend of Mexican and American culture. The hotel mixes El Paso history — our building was once home to the 1960s-era Downtowner Motor Inn — with the spirit of today's downtown. Wake up to locally grown and roasted coffee, cool off in our fifth-floor outdoor pool and watch desert sunsets from our floor-to-ceiling windows. After you venture to the Franklin Mountains, Chihuahuan Desert and Rio Grande, explore relaxation in your luxurious guest room; unique décor, plush linens, spa-inspired showers and spacious work areas welcome you back.

Culture driven creative drinks will await you while you relax in a combination of booths, lounge chairs, hanging chairs, amongst fire pits next to our rooftop pool. You will experience mellow live local music during week nights and on Saturdays a DJ will make you want to dance into the night.
Neighborhoods
Explore our neighborhood.
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy once called El Paso “one of the last real cities in America,” and anyone who visits can easily tell why he finds it so special. El Paso began as a frontier town and quickly became a hub of commerce due to its proximity to Mexico and the rapid western expansion of the railroad system. With its prime location came an abundance of historic events and notable people: The Mexican Revolution made its mark, Billy the Kid and Pancho Villa made their names, and William McKinley made the first presidential visit. Sandra Day O’Connor was born here; Johnny Cash was arrested here; Steve McQueen filmed here. Today, our city is a vibrant blend of American and Mexican art, music and food, and our downtown neighborhood is experiencing a spirited revival.
With over 220 species of animals and a number of exciting attractions, the El Paso Zoo has something for everyone. Cool off in the Hunt Family Desert Spring, an interactive water play-place, or ride the African Star Train to see lions, zebras, giraffes and more. Scale log climbers, slip down slides and enjoy a 360-degree view of the zoo in the Foster Treehouse Playground.
Catch an El Paso Chihuahuas baseball game to see some of the best up-and-coming athletes in the country. You never know who will make it to the Major League — the team is a Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
The El Paso Museum of Art holds over 6,000 permanent pieces as varied as the culture of the city itself. Browse the American, Mexican and European collections for Colonial portraits, Latin canvas, copper and tin paintings, and masterworks from such artists as Botticelli, Lotto and more.
One of only a handful of museums of its kind in the U.S., the El Paso Holocaust Museum was founded by a local Holocaust survivor to educate the public, work against prejudice and honor both the victims who were lost and those who survived. The museum and study center, home to a permanent exhibit of multi-media galleries, was the first Holocaust museum to be established in Texas
Revel in beautiful music and drama at the El Paso Opera. While the shows are performed in their original languages, both English and Spanish supertitles are displayed throughout the performance for an enhanced viewing experience..
Named after the longtime conductor of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, the Abraham Chavez Theatre hosts a wide range of musical artists, guest speakers, bands and comedians. You won’t want to miss its distinctive architecture, styled in the shape of a sombrero.
Near both the Museum of Art and Plaza Theatre, the Arts Festival Plaza is the place to be for El Paso’s most popular events, including the lively Downtown Street Festival, Dancing in the City nights and the Plaza Classic Film Festival.
The El Paso Playhouse is the city’s longest-running community theater and features a variety of productions, including seasonal shows, children’s plays and holiday performances of all kinds.
Head to Crave Kitchen and Bar for delicious American comfort food with a local twist. Try the macaroni and cheese with green chilies or the buttermilk fried chicken and waffles, and choose from over 70 beers and an impressive wine selection to perfectly pair with your meal.
Tom’s Folk Café began as a food truck called The Drifter and has evolved over the years into one of the most eclectic and unique restaurants in El Paso. It prides itself on serving organic, seasonal and local ingredients in a laid-back atmosphere filled with books and covered in art.
Build your own tacos at El Paso’s Tacoholics Food Truck. Choose sirloin, chicken, pork or tofu paired with queso fresco, homemade chorizo, cilantro, fresh lime or even Korean BBQ sauce. For a different twist, try the Mexican Philly or — our favorite — La Torta 915 sandwich with charro beans.
Anson11 is named for Anson Mills, a military officer, inventor and entrepreneur who helped build and title the city. He was instrumental in designing and financing the very building the restaurant is in, on the site of the 1832 Ponce de Leon ranch. Choose to experience fine dining upstairs or go for the downstairs bistro; both serve thoughtful menus in a setting rich with El Paso history.
